Ride Thoughts With Reggie R.
Hey fellow riders, I'm Reggie from South Florida.
I'm originally from Maryland, but relocated to south Florida after entering the military. I've been riding motorcycles since I was about 13yo. WOW! 25 YEARS!! As the saying says, time flies when you're having fun.
I currently own and operate south Florida's #1 One stop Shop, L.O.F. Motorsports. We have been faithfully serving our community for 9years and counting.
When I'm not working or riding my bike, which is currently a 2017 Harley-Davidson road glide special, I enjoy working out, hanging with my friends and spending time with my family.
Catch you all 2 wheels!!!
What was your first motorcycle, and what do you remember most about it?
My first motorcycle was a 1992 Kawasaki ex250. The most memorable thing would likely be the sense of freedom and excitement of hitting the road for the first time.
If you could take a ride anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

If you could take a ride anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
I’d choose the Pacific Coast Highway in California. The combination of scenic ocean views and winding roads is perfect for a thrilling and beautiful ride.
What’s your go-to piece of riding gear, and why can’t you ride without it?
A high-quality helmet is essential for both safety and comfort. It’s the most important part of any rider’s gear.
How do you prepare mentally for a long ride?
The key would be focusing on staying relaxed but alert. Mentally, I’d visualize the route, review safety practices, and plan rest stops to stay sharp and hydrated.
What’s the most memorable road trip you’ve ever taken?
I'm not much of a distance rider, but I would have to say riding with my buddy to Tampa.
How has riding changed your perspective on life?
Riding could offer a new appreciation for the journey, not just the destination. It fosters patience and mindfulness by focusing on the present moment.
What’s your favorite part of riding in different seasons?
i began riding in Maryland and have experienced riding in all seasons. Each season brings its own unique experience: the crisp air of fall, the blossoms of spring, summer warmth, and even the challenge of winter riding.
How do you stay motivated to ride even when the weather isn’t ideal?
By embracing the idea that every ride is a learning experience and an adventure, regardless of conditions. Proper gear for cold or rainy days helps, too.
What’s the best piece of riding advice you’ve ever received?
“Ride like everyone else on the road is trying to kill you.” It sounds intense, but it emphasizes the importance of staying alert and anticipating potential dangers.
What does your ideal riding day look like, from start to finish?
Waking up early, hitting the open road under a clear blue sky, with scenic pit stops, enjoying the wind, and ending the day at a local spot with fellow riders.
How do you balance riding with your other passions in life?
Finding a balance would mean integrating riding into daily routines and hobbies. For example, combining cool destinations with rides.
What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned from riding?
The importance of adaptability. On the road, anything can happen, so staying flexible and prepared is crucial.
How do you customize your ride to make it uniquely yours?
Adding a personal touch could mean modifications like custom exhausts, handlebar adjustments, or even personalizing the paint job, hence my fully customized 2017 Road Glide Special.
What’s one safety tip you think every rider should follow?
Always assume you’re invisible to other drivers. This mindset helps you stay extra cautious and defensive in traffic.
How do you stay connected with the riding community?
it is pretty easy for me, as I own one of the best motorcycle shops on the east coast, L.O.F. Motorsports. Also, through local riding clubs, attending/ hosting motorcycle events, and engaging with online forums and social media groups.
What’s a common misconception about riding that you’d like to clear up?
That motorcycling is always about speed and adrenaline. It’s also about community, mindfulness, and enjoying the ride.
How do you push yourself to improve your riding skills?
By regularly practicing in controlled environments, taking advanced riding courses, and riding with more experienced motorcyclists.

Grabbing a cold drink and relaxing with friends while reflecting on the day’s ride.
How do you see the future of motorcycle culture evolving?
Customization has and will always be the way that the culture evolves.

My dad, and my rebellious side.
What feeling do you get when you ride?
Riding gives a sense of freedom, exhilaration, and a connection to the world around you.
What's your relationship with riding gear?
For years, i never really followed the saying "dress for the slide, not for the ride." no matter how recklessly I ride, or seeing others aftermath. its only after seeing companies putting out stylish and protective gear that has me more inclined to ride "geared-up". It’s a crucial aspect of safety and style. High-quality gear offers protection and also enhances the riding experience.

Iown my dream bike now.
How old were you when you started riding?
14 or 15years old
Advice for someone just getting started?
