Felt compelled to write a review since there are so few for this jacket. This is the best moto jacket I've ever owned. Ive gotten tons of compliments as it looks great on and off the bike. Just did a 4 day 1350 mile trip with it and it performed amazingly. The removable liner makes it great for a wide temp range too.
I got a size medium and it fits me like a glove. I am 5'8" and 175lbs. I plan on using this jacket for warmer weather. If I were to use this as more of a colder weather jacket I would definitely go up to a large if you're similar to my size so you can layer better. With the medium the arms are a bit tight and you cannot fit too much besides the liner.
For context, i was sized for XL and bought XXL. I’m 6’4” And weight around 250lbs, with long arms. (Usually XLT hoodies and jackets fit perfectly on me).
This jacket isnt stiff like a new Carhartt Jacket when you open it up. Its comfortable and very flexible/broken in. The flannel lining doesnt have any hooks inside that clip to the jacket to keep it from riding up or down, but it stays down once you pull it down.
When riding (Street Glide): since i bought it a little big, than recommended, it puffed up in the chest area a bit while i was riding, but wasnt too much of an issue.
Putting the skid pads in was a little tricky, but once theyre in, I barely felt them when turning or stretching.
Overall, very comfortable , 100% worth the money.
Im hoping when I buy the jeans/pants next, itll be similar experience.
Love the look of this jacket, but should have thought through what a flannel lining would mean. I quickly realized it means good luck getting it on and off without the liner dragging hard against whatever long sleeves you might have on and bunching up. Feel like I’m in a straight jacket with how twisted it all becomes. Might get a seamstress to replace the liner sleeves with slippery nylon at some point, or just pull the liner out and wear a sweatshirt underneath for colder rides.
Also has an abnormally large neck hole that allows for more wind than is desired at this point in PA when temps are maxing out in the lower 40’s. Other than that, it was warm. I’ll appreciate the extra breeze come summer time.
Over all, seems like a nice coat, just wish a few details were different.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for our Wyman 1902 Armored Jacket. We appreciate your feedback and are sorry to hear that you experienced some technical difficulties with the flannel lining and neck hole. We understand how frustrating that can be and will definitely take your comments into consideration for future improvements. In the meantime, wearing a sweatshirt underneath or replacing the liner sleeves with slippery nylon are great solutions. We hope you continue to enjoy the warmth of the jacket and appreciate your business.
NBT has crushed it with this jacket!
I was so excited to see the delivery driver pull up as I was about to go out on a date. Of course, I immediately changed my jacket!
The removable inner liner is clutch for me, living in SoCal. I might start my ride at 50 degrees around 7 a.m. and hit 90 in two or three hours. Knowing I can take out the inner liner and stuff it in my seatbag makes me happy.
The real deal, though, is the CE1 certification. I'll admit, pulling all the gear out of the delivery package feels a bit heavy. But when you add armor to the jacket and put it on, it's like pulling up your favorite blanket while watching Easy Rider.
I am attaching a photo of me running back into the house on the way to a date with my girl because the delivery driver showed up as we were about to pull out of the driveway. I had to change jackets at that point!
Also, since I know Nick is a fan, here's another picture of me out to dinner before Thanksgiving with a few of the guys from Champ Scholl, including Mr. Champ School himself, Keith Culver, and his lovely wife, Tischa. I have been friends with Keith for decades.
Get comfy and stay safe out there, riders... COLD TIRES!!
Excellent work, NBT Team!! My collection continues to grow.
Thanks!
Your friendly neighborhood, Owen.
Keep those tires sticky! Warm them up!!
If you're looking for something that doesn't feel like a typical motorcycle jacket this isn't the item on this site that would make you the happiest. That being said it is an awesome jacket! It's heavy while still being on the lighter side of motorcycle jackets it feels protective, it's stylish and it's not insanely branded if you don't like logos being huge and in your face it's perfect. Low key and nice enough to wear out the armor is easily tucked away in a bag if you have one. If not I'm sure it's still comfortable in the jacket the new c2 armor is even thinner than the original. Like I said it wasn't for me so I returned it and ended up ordering the zip up hoodie because I didn't want to wait for the return to happen. Well today I returned it at ups and the money was back in my cashapp in minutes. I bought it through shop pay using my cashapp card so it may be different for you but I was seriously impressed.
