Ride Thoughts with Ayden Lawless

October 16, 2025
Ayden is a rider and videographer from the DMV. Through his lens, he brings the spirit of two wheels to life and pushes to bring more creativity to the community.

Who or what inspired you to start riding?

My buddy got his license and poked at me to get mine so I caved and took the course. Ended up putting 5K miles on a bike before he even touched his 😂

If you could ride anywhere in the world, where would it be?

If I could ride anywhere I would ride along the coast of California along to Washington. Some really crazy views out there that I’d love to see!

What's your dream motorcycle, and why?

Dream bike (right now) 2019 R1M. Something about that bike not only feels right but also the look and design just hits for me.

How does riding impact your mental health?

Its incredibly freeing to ride. If I don’t ride for awhile I go through withdraw.

How do you balance riding with your other responsibilities?

I don’t. I’ll willingly make a poor decision if it means I get to ride when the weathers nice

How has riding influenced your relationships or friendships?

Riding opened me up to a whole other community of people. It was honestly probably the easiest ways I’ve ever met new people and made friends. Things have changed in the community but I’ll never forget how welcomed I felt.

What's your favorite piece of gear that you won’t ride without?

It’s hard for me to ride without my helmet so I’d have to say my Alpinestars R10 I couldn’t go without.

What was the moment you knew you were hooked on riding?

I think that first time I ever rode through my city and got to see the skyline really just sealed the deal for me.

What advice would you give to someone just starting out riding?

Don’t panic when something happens and be aware of your surroundings
