This is the only rating I am comfortable giving at this time. I just received my jacket today. The overall quality of the gear is impressive. I haven't worn the gear yet so I can not attest to the breathability of the gear. First ride soon come.

The zip up is a nice weight and will work well above 60 degree- I also tried it around 78 degree and it was ok- when riding it does have some airflow

Got a chance to use this for longer time just now for a 400 mile trip and absolutely love it!

Size fits great. Light weight plus the zipper lets you keep cool on hotter days.

I've owned a ton of different riding gear over the last 20 years and this has hands down been my favorite jacket. Light weight, functional, great protection, and the armor pockets don't chafe like a lot of other stuff I've had. Even in 90 degree heat this thing is barely noticeable. Pockets work well and kept my phone dry in a massive down pour. I'll end up wearing this through fall just as a sweatshirt. Absolutely recommend!

A very nice jacket heavy for summer and it’s an athletic fit but it’s definitely a great jacket

Honestly, this is a really solid hoodie. The fabric is nice and sturdy but it still breathes well when you're moving. I ride a Rebel 1100 and wanted something easy to layer for interstate speeds, so I pull the pads out of this hoodie and throw it right over my Knox MK3 armored shirt. It fits well over my build, and the extra protection on the road is totally worth it. The thumb loops and belt hooks work great to keep it from riding up. Definitely a 5-star piece of gear. I thankfully have not had to use it and I hope I never do, but I feel like it will do its job, glad I took a chance.

First purchase of this product. Got the zip up hoodie with armor and free gloves.

The hoodie fits perfectly and the sizing app on the website was spot on. You don't notice the armor which is great, and the hoodie is very comfortable, even in 85-degree temps.

The gloves are very nice too, could be a tad larger (I got the biggest size) as I have very large hands, so maybe in the future offer an additional larger size.

So far very happy with this purchase.

The XXL hoodie was too tight for me. I will probably return it and exchange it for a XXXL. L/XL Gloves were also a little tight. Will get a size bigger for both. Material felt good though.

Every interaction I’ve had has been amazing, very understanding and patient with me. The jacket was a gift for my son and he really loves it. It gives me peace of mind knowing he has protection riding that he is comfortable in.

Coming from the Bodyguard 2.0, this hoodie has definitely been a game changer for summer heat. For the last few weeks, and the next few months, the temp here in SC has been 90°+. I can confirm it is lightweight and breathable enough to withstand the heat. For safety, although I haven’t taken a tumble yet, the material feels sturdy enough for me to feel confident that it’ll hold up in a slide. I’ve also low sided in the Bodyguard 2.0 and only the straps broke so I trust the brand. To address some of the concerns I’ve seen in other reviews prior to buying this hoodie, here are my thoughts.

1: some people mention that it’s not cool enough. Personally, I’ve found that if you’re wearing a proper base layer and getting some wind by moving, you’ll be fine. I.e. wearing a moisture wicking long sleeve.

2: some people mention that it is too large or too tight. I had a slight advantage as this isn’t my first NBT hoodie. For the Bodyguard 2.0, I am a L. I’ve looked at the sizing chart for this prior to buying it and it runs larger than the 2.0 so for this I’m a XL. As long as you reference the sizing chart, my experience is you should be fine.

All and all, I think this is a great hoodie that isn’t too bulking like a mesh jacket that’ll offer good protection for street riding.

The simple fact that it doesn’t look like gear was enough for me, then I got the chance to actually use it and the quality is top notch. This will probably be the only riding gear I use from now on.

This jacket has an excellent fit and feel, making it my go-to choice for warm weather riding. It’s incredibly comfortable and has a good stretch. Quality exceeded my expectations.
