What you see in the photos attached to my review are the torn, tattered, and shredded remains of my wife's hoodie. Roughly three months ago, my wife purchased this hoodie and a green flannel jacket for myself. They were comfortable and moveable despite having pads and protective lining in them. Last month, my wife was in a terrible motorcycle accident and has not been released from the hospital yet, but she is alive and making huge progress in her recovery. This hoodie literally helped to save my wife's life from an accident that she should not have made it out of. Her bike ended up being a runaway, and before she could ditch it, she was carried off the road into a thick and dense area of foliage and trees. She suffered serious injuries from the speed of the impact, but none of them were life-threatening due to this jacket. The back armor protected her spine, so she only had a few cracked ribs. Her left arm suffered serious trauma from the impact force and was dislocated, and a fracture to the middle of her radius. Her elbow and shoulder were still intact, though as the shoulder set itself and her elbow moved perfectly. As for bleeding, she only had a minor laceration to her spleen.
While those injuries sound grizzly, they are not life-threatening and are easily fixed. In fact, the left arm and spleen were the least of the doctor's worries after the accident, as she sustained serious head trauma. She did have some bruises but no cuts, scrapes, or other open wounds anywhere that were protected by this clothing. The damage to her torso could have been so much worse, but this clothing kept branches from clawing at her skin, poison ivy from being all over her, and absorbed so much of the impact from what should have otherwise killed her to a couple of common injuries that are seen among athletes.
Once my wife woke up from the accident, she was disappointed to hear that the hoodie had to be cut off by EMTs. She was happy to know that it protected her and did its job perfectly. Today, I am purchasing another hoodie to replace this one. My wife's goal is to recover, get back out on the road on another motorcycle, and continue wearing clothing she knows she can trust to protect her when the worst-case scenarios occur.
I love the fit, quality, look and comfort. I don’t love that it’s made in China and costs $268. Tells me that your profit margins are huge but you’re **** hard working blue collar people like me. If you’re going to charge that price at least make it in the USA.
These pants are great. But they are NOT made for curvy women. If you have curves, hips or butt, it will give you that huge gap in the lower back. Other than that, great quality. Really thin but great protection. If they made the fit a bit more versatile, women would be going crazy over these pants.
Thank you for your feedback! We appreciate the positive comments about the quality and protection of our pants. We'll certainly take your suggestions into consideration for future designe to ensure a more versatile fit for all body types.
I went down the other day doing 80MPH on the highway and the pants did everything they said they’d do. I ended up walking away with 0 marks on my body thanks to these pants. I slid 200 feet and they held up the entire way. Nice to know there’s still some honesty left in this world. Couldn’t recommend them enough!!

I was involved in a very bad motorcycle accident when I lady pulled out I front of me at an intersection. I was ejected 136 feet and had very serious injuries but I only had on minor cut down my forearm, thanks to the Body guard hoodie I was able to avoid more injuries on my upper body. Jacket was cut from the ambulance
i’ve been wearing your gear for the past month ever since i bout the aramid hoodie and jeans. i’ve loved how comfortable i’ve felt, from 40°F weather to 80°F whether, and i’ve ridden in it every day. last night, i got hit from behind and run over on the way to dinner. the car dragged me a good distance before rolling over my feet. i ended up with a dislocated big toe, two fractures in my foot, and a laceration from where the skin tore with the dislocation. BUT i have extremely minimal road rash, all in places where the hoodie and jeans weren’t covering. nothing else made i through the last layer of your gear. you make an amazing product that saved me a great deal of injury, and i will 100% be buying replacements and then more of these. thank you so much, my brother
Wrecked in this sweatshirt shredded the outside layer didn’t have a scratch on me(they also sent me a replacement same day I reported it)
A few weeks ago I cut off while on the freeway (going about 50 mph) and got thrown off my bike facing down. I was literally sliding on the pavement but NOTHING happened to these jeans. Sure I had some bruising on my left thigh and a sprained right knee, but things could have been so much worse if it wasn’t for these jeans. Sadly, medics had to cut them to make sure I had no life threatening injuries but I’m so thankful I was wearing them. If you’re thinking about it don’t hesitate. Invest in yourself and your safety! 🫶🏼

I recently got in a head on crash with a car turning across my lane. I hit this car HARD, bounced off and flew about 30ft. Helmet was ruined, bike was destroyed, the front wheel broke off etc. I ended up with a broken arm and a broken tibia, along with a possible ACL tear and 26 stitches. I’m still in the hospital and will be in a wheelchair for 8 weeks. I have ZERO injuries to my chest, abdomen, and spine. I don’t have ANY road rash on my body anywhere. My helmet and this hoodie saved my life and allowed me to get away with all my skin and no permanent injuries. If you wear one piece of gear aside from a helmet WEAR THIS HOODIE it will protect you. They had to cut the hoodie off at the scene, when I get another bike I will be buying this hoodie again without thinking twice.
These motorcycle jeans look, feel, and fit absolutely perfectly. After purchasing 5-6 pants from NBT and several from other brands, these are probably the best protective jeans I have worn, with the perfect combination of safety and comfort. BUT...the left knee armor insert was sewn on the BACK OF THE PANT LEG!!!
I'm very "torn" about NBT as a company. Their clothes feel extremely comfortable and look great, but the quality control is complete garbage.
1) Jeans purchased for my partner and her button popped off on day one.
2) Leggings purchased for her as well, and the seam at the crotch area ripped upon trying them on and lifting her leg over the bike on day one. On top of that, a replacement in her size 4 is out of stock now.
3) and finally these men's jeans with the knee armor insert sewn on the back of the leg, not at the knee.
COME ON NBT!!! I want to love you guys, and have already spent thousands of dollars on your pants, gloves, belts, etc., but this quality control issue is not a one time aberration and is obviously a systemic issue. You make returning or exchanging your pants relatively easy, but don't have options in stock and the customer has to go through all the steps of returning and waiting for replacements over and over again.

These are nice comfortable gloves. Perfect for summer riding. They are thin and soft and have good protection. Given that, the $70 price tag is high. I think $50 would be a more reasonable price point. These gloves are just a bit less than my Alpinestar leather glove that have considerably more protection and feel more durable. Not to say these gloves aren't good, they absolutely are. They are just a bit overpriced imo.
I’m a very exaggerated hour glass shape with large hips/thighs so I appreciate how much these pants stretch, but the waist is basically a giant bucket around. The pants don’t want to stay up on me. Word of advice if you have a smaller waist than hips: order a size down that fits your smallest area best. The fabric has ample stretch.
so of course after getting my new NBT pants I wanna take them for a spin! Super cute and comfortable, I felt really good. Well for a spin they went, because I wrecked in them just a few hours later lol. Ended up in the hospital with a concussion and bone bruises on my elbows, forearms, and chest but not a scratch or bruise on my lower body. The pants took the brunt of the slide and the knee did tear, butno road rash. I was so grateful 🥲 definitely getting another pair 🫶🏼
I would have given 5 stars, however, the fit proportions are slightly off for my build. I am 6 feet tall and weigh 180 lbs. My inseam is 32" and waist is 32". I originally ordered a 32 x 32, but had to exchange them for a 32" inseam & 34" waist. For the first pair, the thigh region was extremely tight. It required a lot of effort to squeeze my legs in. Once on, I could barely swing my leg over the bike seat - very restrictive regardless of the stretchy material. The waist, on the other hand, was perfect. For the newer pair (32 x 34), the thigh region fit perfectly, but the waist is too loose - fits more like a 36". Anyhow, to mitigate that issue, I wear a pair of shorts underneath which makes waist fit just okay. These pants would be perfect if the thigh region on the 32x32 could fit like those of the 32x34. My two cents for what it's worth.
They fit comfy and can be used with your phone. Mos definitely not for cold weather. Knuckle protection feels thin and weak and so do the palms but haven’t been put to the test. I got them for 50% off but would not recommend at full price.
Me and my boyfriend both got riding gear. Years morning I got that dreadful call that he wrecked. Luckily I make him wear his gear and he made it out with only a broken foot and hand. I couldn’t thank nbt clothing enough for the protection it provided him when he needed it the most.
We're so relieved to hear that your boyfriend made it out with only minor injuries despite the accident. Safety is our priority, and we're grateful that our riding gear was able to provide him with the protection he needed during such a challenging time. Thank you for sharing your experience, we wish your boyfriend a speedy recovery. If there's damage to the pants please email our customer service a team a picture. We offer wreck replacement on the pants.
These are seriously nice. Very comfortable and haven't been too hot while riding. I noticed that I really like having the larger velcro cuffs as it takes longer before my hands start to get that tingling from riding a while. The touch sensitve thump and finger work great. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I bought the largest size available, and they are still just a little small. I have long fingers which is likely the issue (but she never complains).
Was great to ride in but noticed that the zipper is broken for the pocket when it first arrived and was unable to get a exchange cause I didn't have original packaging.
Got into an accident the first night out wearing this sadly, avoided a deer that jumped in front of me at night and ended up in a ditch, but this thing was amazing, I ended up with a broken shoulder because of how I landed but nothing made it through the flannel and it held up way better than I thought at first. All said and done glad I was wearing this when it happend because it could have ended up much worse for me for sure.
This hoodie literally saved my skin. I was in an accident at the beginning of 24, had my NBT hoodie on and slid for a good ~150 feet give or take through some asphalt and rocks in the scenery. Made it out with 0 road rash, but the broken tibia is another story. Only had the hoodie 3 months but was more than worth the save. Thank you NBT.

I was fairly impressed by how flexible and comfortable these jeans were. They were plenty high waisted as I wished for. They are very form fitting which is exactly why I bought these rather than from your local “motorcycle gear” store. The pockets fit the armor with no issue, the zipper enclosures feel super sturdy and I love that the armor is super slim and not bulky at all. My only complaints which probably don’t even count as complaints: I wish the aramid/kevlar was lined on the front of the thighs and I did have to get them tailored/taken in at the waist as you can see in the pictures I have a very small waist compared to my hips and originally they had they had this huge gap (iykyk). The recommended size feature was super spot on. For reference, I am 5’2” 130lbs semi muscular build and I went with the size 4. I would recommend these jeans to any girl looking for some feminine and protective jeans. Ditch the leggings and get some NBTs!!!
Got these to test from Nick and couldn’t be happier. I live in Florida where the sun’s heating up, and these keep me cool while still feeling protected on rides.
The size chart looked off, like wedding dress sizing, so I contacted nbt before I ordered. I received a "check the size chart" as a response. I ordered what it told me to and the jeans are easily two sizes too big. Working through an exchange now, but it would help if nbt talked to real women and gathered real info about sizing. Not even knowing how long the drop is . . . Straight crazy.
TLDR: Ignore Wair and the size chart. Order your normal size.
I just got these pants 2 weeks ago and wore them for the first time and fell in love! They fit so comfortably and for a curvy girl these pants are true to size (maybe even a little big) but that’s perfect so you can wear layers when it’s cooler.
Onto the crash… my friend was riding her mans Busa and it started to rain, she was going about 65MPH the bike hydroplaned right out from under her! She went down and she slide at least 100 feet on the highway. When I went to pick her up at the hospital I looked at her pants and noticed her leg had a zipper the same as mine and then realized she had on the identical NBT hai pants! When I pointed out I just got the same pair she said immediately yes!!! Look no rips or anything. Just the zipper is scratched. And the fabric is a bit worn from the slide. NO RIPS OR TEARS!!!
These have easily become my go to riding pants! I can’t wait to see how the feel in the summer. But are perfect with a pair of leggings in the winter.
I’m 5’6”, 200lbs and wear a 10/12 in pants depending on the fit. I’m more hourglass shaped and definitely have a fuller backside! 😉
